SAN LEO - Mantracore (2020)
Discovered SAN LEO at a gig where they opened for Unsane. I've been impressed and really enjoyed their set. The music of the Italian duo (one is drumming, the other playing guitar and electronics) could be described as psych/kraut/noise or as they dub themselves "mantra-core" and "trance noise". This album called Mantracore is also live, not as good as seeing them live for real, but good enough to let you feel the energy they radiate. Sometimes more melodic, sometimes more raw and noisy, always strongly trippy. Good stuff!

HIRS - We're Still Here (2023)
HIRS is a powerviolence collective. They bring chaos, and you'll enjoy it! On their new album We're Still Here they are helped by an impressive list of guest, including among others : Justin Pearson, Escuela Grind, Melt Banana, The Body, Nate Newton, Full of Hell, Jeremy Bolm. Cool stuff!

Roadwolf - Midnight Lightning (2023)
With this second album, Midnight Lightning, Austrian band Roadwolf confirms the excellent impression left by their first one. Top quality traditional heavy/speed metal reminding Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, but also Motörhead and Scorpions. Highly recommended if you're into this kind of stuff.

babelfishh - coma worthy (2021)
This isn't your usual hip-hop album. coma worthy by babelfishh has vocals that are mostly near spoken words flow, but also screams, over indie/underground hip-hop productions, that could remind Sole, but is rawer, less polished, and... some tracks are black metal. Recommended stuff!

Sete Star Sept - The Judgment by Reaper (2023)
Japanese noisegrind duo (drums and bass/vocals) Sete Star Sept keeps on recording and releasing a lot, and that's good : sometimes there's a less memorable release, but at least each year there's an excellent one! The Judgment by Reaper is among one of those. Short and fast songs, heavy and catchy basslines, over the top drumming as usual. It's a good one to discover Sete Star Sept, and one you don't want to miss if you already like them. Enjoy the madness!

DRAIN - LIVING PROOF (2023)
Maybe their first album, the ridiculously good "California cursed" was even better than the new one LIVING PROOF, but I'm happy anyway to hear again from DRAIN, back with another nice slice of their Madball meets Pantera crossover. Even the trap featuring is good, as well as the super infectiously catchy Descendents cover "Good Good Things". Hard, cool, and recommended!

The Blood of Heroes - Nine Cities (2023)
Nice to have The Blood of Heroes back for a new album, Nine Cities, and with the same brilliant crew : JK Broadrick, Mick Harris, Enduser, Submerged, Dr. Israel, plus a few good guests as well. As expected, they deliver top quality industrial / bass music with a dark and futuristic atmosphere. If you liked the first two albums you won't be disappointed by this one. Heavily recommended!

Fleshrot - Unburied Corpse (2022)
Fleshrot is an old-school death metal band from Texas, Unburied Corpse is their first album (but the band started more than a decade ago), they play it raw and mostly slow, sometimes bordering death-doom but definitely not of a polished and melodic kind, we're closer to Obituary or Autopsy territory here. In any case it's excellent OSDM. A strong first album. Keep going!

Blastro - From the Beginning to the End (2013)
Relentless blast beats over a wall of noise : doesn't it sounds like the perfect recipe for sonic happiness? To me it does, and that's exactly what you'll get from Blastro, a Japanese trio with an ex C.C.C.C and an ex G.I.S.M. From the Beginning to the End has been recorded live and released ten years ago.
And you need it.
