this EP from the finnish band Sammal (translates "wild moss", n°2 is their second record, released by Svart records) sounds at the same time familiar and unique. its warm tones and vintage keyboard reminds classic prog rock from the seventies, but at the same times the melodies (vocals in finnish, guitars and the keyboards that are really put forward in the songs) sounds very different (as only finnish melodies can!). very groovy and joyful, or softly melancholic at times, but not in a cheesy pop way, it makes a very original, enjoyable and addictive listen. rarely bands inspired by 70' rock are sounding so fresh. just try it and you won't regret.
