Asphalt Graves - The New Primitive (2016)

Asphalt Graves is an excellent new grind band. With band members like Jason Netherton (Misery Index, ex-Dying Fetus), Brent Purgason (GWAR, U.S. Bastards), Adam Faris, and Shannon Lucas (ex-Black Dhalia Murder) I would have expected something sounding more "modern and polished". But I was happy to find out they are playing old school grind / death, reminding more Napalm death or Brutal Truth than Dying Fetus. And maybe even more a band like Lock Up because of the combination of old school and being very sharp, fast and extreme, even for grindcore. Their album called The New Primitive is really great and enjoyable. After Writhing Mass we get another very good grind newcomer !
