The Blood of Heroes - Nine Cities (2023)
Nice to have The Blood of Heroes back for a new album, Nine Cities, and with the same brilliant crew : JK Broadrick, Mick Harris, Enduser, Submerged, Dr. Israel, plus a few good guests as well. As expected, they deliver top quality industrial / bass music with a dark and futuristic atmosphere. If you liked the first two albums you won't be disappointed by this one. Heavily recommended!

Quoit (aka Mick Harris) - Collection (2020)
Quoit is the old school drum & bass / jungle project of Mick Harris (Scorn, Fret, Blood of Heroes, Painkiller, and Napalm Death a long time ago). As expected this is not party music/clubbing DnB, this is the darker, harder, more industrial sounding stuff. And as also expected from Mick Harris it is excellent. This Collection release (with tracks from singles and compilations) is released by the also reliable Ohm Resistance label. Submerged (who's also part of Blood of Heroes) also collaborated on some of the tracks. Enough said, check it!

Scorn - The Only Place (2021)
On this new Scorn album Mick Harris is doing what he's doing for the last fifteen years, bass heavy industrial dub, but, as the cover art migh suggest, there is a little more light in the dark in the atmosphere of The Only Place, with slightly psychedelic melodies in the background. And it's good as well. After Jason Williamson (Sleaford Mods) in the previous album this time it's Kool Keith who is invited do do vocals in a track, again with good result, maybe Mick Harris should try a whole album whith someone doing vocals, or producing tracks for Mc's. Another recommended album from Scorn.

Scorn - Café Mor (2019)
Nearly ten years after the last Scorn album Mick Harris is back with Café Mor (again with Ohm Resistance) and he does not disappoint. Still best dealer of dark industrial dub/bass music (could say dubstep, but he started doing it long before the name dubstep existed, and I never heard a dubstep release as good as a Scorn one anyway). Café Mor sounds like a continuation of his previous releases, but with subtle variations, keeping it interesting. Recommended.

The blood of heroes - The waking nightmare (2012)
if you like dark industrial/ electro beats The blood of heroes (with Justin Broadrick, Enduser and Submerged, with the ragga/jungle vocals of Dr Israel) will be an excellent choice. their second album The waking nightmare sees Bill Laswell replaced by a guy from Pere Ubu on the bass but otherwise continues on the exiting direction of the first album. frenetic jungle / drum&bass beats or dark industrial soundscape meets cold and heavy guitars and creates ominous atmospheres somewhere between dub / bass music and metal with diversity and surprises showing regularly without breaking the unity of the album.
